Q&A: IRA Legal Protections, Estate Planning, and Life Insurance

December 1, 2018

Jim and Chris welcome two special guests to help answer questions about Estate Planning, IRA Legal Protections, and Life Insurance.

Life Insurance professional, Sean McKinnon, weighs in on a question about Universal Life Insurance.

Estate Planning Attorney, Peter Scott, returns to the show to tackle three listener questions. An interesting question is posed by a Georgia listener: If an IRA is opened in a state that has legal protections, is it still protected if the owner is sued by someone in a state that does not enjoy the same legal protections? Also, a California listener asks if a 457 Plan will continue to receive creditor protections if it is moved to an IRA and a South Carolina listener wonders how to choose the person to be their estate representative.
