A Social Security Question and 5 CARES Act Questions: Q&A #2023

Jim and Chris answer a Social Security question and 5 CARES Act/COVID related questions.

(11:00) A listener would like to know where he can obtain his estimated retirement benefit information from the Social Security Administration if the website is no longer providing him this information.

(19:00) A listener from Kentucky has some questions about CARES Act IRA withdrawal and repayment strategies.

(34:37) A New Jerseyan (yes that’s how you spell that–we checked!) asks about the CARES provision that allows withdrawing from a traditional IRA and spreading the resulting taxes over 3 years.

(44:02) Another New Jerseyan has a question about his inherited IRA that he takes monthly distributions from: how does the CARES Act affect his inherited IRA?

(51:26) “Bluegrass George” would like to know if he can take a COVID-related distribution from his 401k and then roll it over into his IRA.

(1:02:27) A listener from Seattle would like to confirm with Jim and Chris that he can take a COVID-related distribution from his 403b, then do an indirect rollover into his IRA, and then convert that to a Roth.
