HSA Accounts and Other Questions
January 13, 2018
Jim and Chris answered two long lost emails from October. One from an Arkansas listener who asked if his employer’s new HSA account was a good way for him to save for future healthcare expenses. The second was from an Ohio listener who wondered what Jim’s and Chris’s thoughts were on retirees carrying a mortgage into retirement. A more recent email question came from a woman who wondered if she could gift shares of a mutual fund to her son and have him sell them to cover his college expenses without having to worry about the kiddie-tax. And finally, Jim and Chris talked about changes in the new tax law regarding alimony payments and who will now be responsible for paying income taxes on them.
